Review Summary

  • Positive: Technicians are professional, respectful, and work efficiently (toilet repair, leak repair). Good for long-term commercial clients.
  • Negative: Poor communication, slow response times, and failure to follow through on promised callbacks. Overpriced quotes with no cost breakdown (heater issue). Unprofessional behavior from a driver. Incompetent installation leading to AC failure.

These guys are great. Alex and Isaiah came to fix an issue with my toilet and were both professional and respectful of my home. They worked quickly and efficiently. Should I ever have any issues again I know exactly where to go.

Two technicians came to replace the condensate pump for my apartment AC then left and later that day I noticed the AC was not working and had to spend the night without AC. I could not wait another night for another technician to come so I opened the retuned air duct myself and found that the pump was not even plugged in the wall as per the photos. All they had to do was to just plug it in the wall!

Hands down the worst service I have ever had in my 10 years as a business owner. I reached out end of June / beginning of July. It is now almost two months later and finally getting an email from upper management of their partner companies ( Stoellting, Chill Masters) to even get my qoute. After numerous calls all sent to answering service, with promise of a return call. I started reaching out second week of July just to get an update. We had an ice cream machine down for half the summer at this point. This cost my company approximately 9k so far.... Then was told this would be handled by Monday 8/19 at the latest after upper management ( maybe owner ship) got involved. It is now 8/22 and still haven't got a phone call. Stay clear and save yourself the stress!!

Rafael was extremely helpful when he came to fix a leak we had in our apartment. He was super fast, very friendly, and quite skilled. Thanks for your help!

February 8, 2018 This guy got his "Man" feelings hurt when I passed him and merged in front of him on the 405 South Fwy this morning at approximately 7:50AM. It wasn't like I cut him off or anything, he didn't even have to tap on his break, but the next thing I knew he was flipping me the bird behind me then he changed lanes sped up to get on the side of me to flip me off some more. Very stupid Van # 1851 or 1051 to insert yourself in road rage with you phone number on the van. Next time don't drive like a snail on the freeway and make everyone have to change lanes to pass you, if you can't handle it...Makes me think what else he would come unhinged over. Good job "Service 1st".

I'm the Building Maintenance Engineer for a major city in LA County. We've been using Service 1st to care for our Olympic Swim Center and all our water features in the city (and there are a lot!) for more than 10 years. I have 100% confidence that when I give Service First a call, I will get the job done right and at a good price. Seriously, if you don't call these guys, you're blowing it! They are honest and fair, you won't be sorry.

We called on a Tuesday to schedule a technician to come to our home and diagnosis a heater issue. The company scheduled us for Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday morning we received a call that the tech would be arriving in 45 minutes. We told them that didn’t work, as we had cleared our afternoon schedule rather than the morning. They canceled our appointment all together for Wednesday and rescheduled for Thursday. Luckily, we were able to call back and get a tech on Wednesday afternoon. For 10 minutes, we were charged $89. The tech told us the repair would run about $280 in parts and about two hours of labor, and that we could expect an invoice later that day to pay in order to move forward. We received the proposal Thursday morning with a cost exceeding $700! When we requested a breakdown of the costs, they replied that “we can’t give you a breakdown of the costs”. Say what?!?
